   MEAN GREEN MAKE HISTORY
After winning 11 games this season for the first time in program history, our Mean Green football team has secured a spot in its first American Conference Championship.
Now at No. 20 in the AP poll and No. 24 in the College Football Playoff rankings, the team will face Tulane in the conference championship game at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans on Friday, Dec. 5. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, and the game will air on ABC and ESPN3.
If you're not heading to New Orleans, wear your best green attire and come cheer on the Mean Green at The Syndicate in the University Union!
Or you can attend a local watch party at these locations:
(Note that Lucky Lou’s is open only to ages 21 and over, and at Eastside Denton and Buffalo Hirsch, those under 21 must be with their parent or guardian and leave by 9 p.m.)

   PUT A RING ON IT
New Date: Thursday, Dec. 4
New Location: Lovelace & McNatt Families Practice Facilities

Wearing an official UNT class ring is a powerful way to commemorate your journey at UNT. If you purchased an official UNT ring this fall and registered to attend, the Fall 2025 Ring Ceremony is your opportunity to continue a UNT tradition and celebrate your accomplishments with friends and loved ones who have supported you along the way.

If you ordered your ring this semester, you can pick it up starting at 3:30 p.m. before the ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. Note that due to predicted inclement weather Thursday, the event has moved to the Lovelace & McNatt Families Practice Facilities from its traditional location on the Union South Lawn and Library Mall. Free parking is available in Lots 80 and 85. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor your academic accomplishment!

   FALL 2025 WRAP-UP
It’s that time of the semester, Eagles! Finals are coming, and the longed-for Winter Break is in sight! See Scrappy’s Finals Countdown for resources, reminders and events to help you focus and de-stress, like the De-stress Fest.

Need a quiet space to study? Use our library resources to reserve a study room or check out Sage Hall for study spaces as well as the Math Lab and Writing Center to help you power through the end-of-the-semester assignments and projects.

If you are a residence hall resident leaving for Winter Break or graduating, don’t forget to follow Housing's mid-year closing procedures.

   REC RENOVATION
Did you know UNT's enrollment has grown by nearly 50 percent since 2003? That's the year the Pohl Recreation Center opened, and now it's time for the center to grow, too.

Beginning in early 2026, Pohl will undergo renovations to add 20,000 square feet of fitness space across two levels, removing the leisure pool and spa to make way for an additional strength-building area, a dedicated spin studio and more functional open space for workouts. The Rec Center will remain open during renovations, which should be completed for Fall 2027.
