Only two tasks remain for the cookie season: ensuring the troop is set for the final ACH and distributing rewards. More details on reward distribution will be shared in a future The Cookie Press email. Finalize deposits of cash/check into the Troop bank account. If families used mobile payment services (like Venmo or CashApp) to turn in money, verify the funds are credited to the troop account.
View your Troop Balance Summary report in Smart Cookies for the troop financials including the final PGA, troop proceeds total, and the balance due for the final ACH on May 1.

|
|
-
If your troop receives an NSF check or incurs bank fees due to high deposit activity, complete a Finance/Inventory Issue Form by May 31.
-
If your troop only participated in shipped cookie sales and/or is due a refund for troop proceeds earned, River Valleys will process that refund to the troop bank account via an ACH on April 24. Be sure your troop bank account information has been entered in Smart Cookies.
- Juliette’s who are paid in full will show an overpayment in their Troop Balance Summary that equals the troop proceeds.
- Keep copies of all deposit tickets and bank receipts until December 31, 2026.

Reflect on the Season with Your Troop |
As the season comes to a close, take time to reflect with your troop on what they learned and experienced along the way. Consider gathering for an end-of-season wrap-up while the details are still fresh, creating space to talk through what went well, what was challenging, and what they would do differently next time.
Finally, encourage them to also make time to thank everyone in their cookie crew that helped with their sale.

Reminder: Volunteer Cookie Sweatshirt Orders Due May 4 |
Volunteers can order this year’s ferret-themed sweatshirt. Complete the order form by May 4. Payment for the sweatshirt must be done by ACH from the troop account on May 15 or for Juliette’s, a reduction in Juliette Program Credits. Sweatshirts will be shipped to the address on the form later this summer. One order per troop, please. The cost includes shipping and handling fees.
|
The Cookie Press Schedule Update |
As cookie season winds down, so will The Cookie Press. The next email will be on April 23.
|
Community Rewards Shipment
|
Rewards shipments are scheduled to arrive the week of May 18.
If you are planning to print out reward reports for packing items, we recommend waiting until after April 15. Initial order patches will be tracked outside of Smart Cookies and will not appear on your packing reports. You will receive a packing list with the totals of the initial order patches by troop in your shipment.
