WIN Employee Celebrates Milestone
Congratulations to our Business Solutions Specialist Mike Goecke on celebrating 2 years with WIN!   Western Iowa Networks (WIN) continues to support projects in the communities they serve. 2 entities recently applied for and received project grants through the Aureon Charity Grant Program. The Carroll Area Childcare Center & Preschool (CACCCP) received a grant of $250. These funds will be used towards the purchase and installation of padded flooring for the infant & toddler playground equipment.

The City of Westside was awarded a grant of $500 to be used towards equipment for their newly constructed shelter house in Hoffman Park. The shelter house can be rented by the public for a variety of events.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is Winding Down
Without additional funding from Congress, the allotted $14.2 billion to fund the ACP is projected to run out in April 2024. (This is an estimate and may change.) Households now receiving the monthly ACP internet discount will continue to receive their benefit until ACP funds run out, as long as the household remains enrolled in the program. After ACP funds run out, households participating in the ACP will no longer receive the ACP discounts. For details, visit fcc.gov/acp.
