College Park District gearing up for Homecoming
|
On Saturday, Nov. 11, College Park District is hosting a Passport Scavenger Hunt during the Homecoming Tailgate from 12-3 p.m. Pick up your passport card at the table on Spaniolo Drive and collect stamps for swag or samples at each location. Fill up your passport and trade it in for a free T-shirt and a chance to win the grand prize.

Mavericks can access 40 professional certificates from leading companies such as Google, Salesforce, IBM, Meta, and Intuit through the Career Academy on Coursera platform. Homecoming basketball games
|
Cheer on the Mavericks during Homecoming week at the men's basketball game, Saturday, Nov. 11, 5 p.m., and the women's basketball game, Friday, Nov. 10, 5 p.m. Admission is free for all UTA students. During both games, there will be free pizza and giveaways in the student section of College Park Center.

Bridge elevator out of service
|
The elevator for the north pedestrian bridge is temporarily out of service. The Office of Facilities Management has ordered materials to repair the elevator. The materials were scheduled to arrive approximately two weeks from Monday, November 6.

| Virtual job, internship fair
|
A job and internship fair for all majors will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1-3 p.m. virtually. It will be open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and alumni seeking full-time positions, part-time jobs, internships, and field placements. Dress professionally and prepare an updated electronic copy of your resume to share.

The Honors Research Symposium is a culmination of months of hard work and dedication of honors students. Poster presentations will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the E. H. Hereford University Center, Rio Grande Ballroom. The event is free and open to faculty, staff, students, and the community.

In honor of America Recycles Day, Friday, Nov. 17, The Office of Sustainability has organized a tour of the Material Recovery Facility. Attendees will meet at the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs. Transportation (provided by the Office of Sustainability) will leave UTA at 9 a.m. The tour will be an opportunity to see where recyclable material goes and learn the recycling process.
