Help us support neighbors in need by donating personal care items during our weeklong Giving Tuesday Drive, hosted by the Office of Intercultural Excellence and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. All contributions benefit the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS).
Drop off donations in the yellow bin in the Given Courtyard or at Given D201.

Macias Receives National Scholarship
|
Jasmine Macias ’26 has been awarded the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) National Scholarship for her leadership in immigrant and Latinx health equity. As LMSA’s National Migrant Health Task Force Leader, she launched the first national advocacy and leadership series and developed resources for 150+ chapters nationwide.

The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is the largest commitment by any nation to address a single disease in history. Since PEPFAR’s inception in 2003, the U.S. government has invested over $100 billion in the global HIV/AIDS response, saving over 20 million lives, preventing millions of HIV infections, and supporting several countries to achieve HIV epidemic control.

Nickens Medical Student Scholarship
|
Third-year medical students passionate about promoting equal opportunity in medical education and access to quality health care for underserved populations are invited to apply for the AAMC Herbert W. Nickens Medical Student Scholarship.
Each medical school may nominate one student for this award, which offers five $5,000 scholarships to leaders in promoting equal opportunity and access to care.
The LCOM nomination deadline is 11:59 pm EST, Sunday, January 11, 2026.

|
Join the Office of Intercultural Excellence for a community service initiative - creating fleece blankets for children receiving medical care at the Golisano Children’s Hospital Specialty Center at UVM Health.
No sewing skills? No problem! These blankets are a “no-sew” version made by simply tying fleece fringes together. We will provide all materials, and a blanket can be completed in under an hour.
