Dear Alumni and Friends,
When we initially set an ambitious timeline for developing the next strategic plan for Cleveland State University, it was clear that this fall would be a roll-up-your-sleeves type of season for this important work. Initial brainstorming began in the summer with our Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership Team and college deans. At this point in the fall, we have engaged hundreds of stakeholders — and the developing plan is taking on the shape of our collective ideas. Thanks to all of you, we are now poised to have a completed strategic plan submitted to the Board for their consideration by the end of fall semester.
From the beginning, community input has been a constant theme of the strategic planning process, and I — along with the entire Strategic Planning Task Force — have been grateful for the high level of engagement we have received in the past several months. We have spoken to groups of CSU faculty and staff members, students, alumni and community partners. After each of these discussions, we have come away more informed and much more inspired.
To everyone who has listened to our information sessions and participated in the process, thank you. Your passion and care for CSU is palpable, and it is helping us design a stronger vision for CSU in the years to come.
