For fall 2025, IUP achieved record-breaking retention for new, first-time, bachelor’s degree-seeking students; an increase in both the number of undergraduate degree-seeking students and new, first-time, bachelor’s degree-seeking students; and an increase of 5 percentage points for continuing student persistence (students continuing for a third year of study).

Kylie McMullen and the Crimson Hawks had a special signing day ceremony in the KCAC to officially welcome Kylie as part of the team. 

Cheer on the IUP Field Hockey Team tomorrow, Saturday, October 11, for their team impact game, recognizing Kylie McMullen as a team captain for the Hawks. McMullen is an honorary team member who is battling an illness, but her determination and positive attitude have inspired the team. The game is at 3:00 p.m. at 📍Miller Stadium. Talons Up!

Volleyball is hosting Cal (PA) for their team’s Dig Pink game tomorrow, Saturday, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. inside the 📍KCAC. We will be recognizing the fighters, as well as honoring the lives that were taken by breast cancer.

How long can you hula hoop? Stop by the 📍HUB Fitness Center on Monday, October 13, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to show off your skills. Prizes will be awarded for the top three men and top three women hula hoopers.

The Lettuce Eating Club is at it again with a unique way to get creative at their next meeting on Monday, October 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the 📍HUB, Susquehanna Room. If you’re into crafting and love lettuce, relax by making a lettuce painting! Turn your love of lettuce into art. Supplies will be provided. 

Experience a fun night of bingo with the Psi Chi Psychology Club on Tuesday, October 14, at 6:30 p.m. in 📍Uhler Hall. There are chances for you to win Halloween-themed prizes!

Join SGA as they celebrate our mascot Norm’s birthday on Wednesday, October 15, at 3:00 p.m. in the 📍Oak Grove. There will be free food in honor of Norm turning 17. All are invited!

Join RHA for their signature kickoff event on Wednesday, October 15, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the 📍Maple/Ruddock Courtyard. This is a great way to connect with other on-campus residents through fun, food, and meaningful connections. There will be games, giveaways, and good vibes. This is a great time to connect with campus organizations while celebrating the season. Free treats and goodies will be provided.

Stop by 📍Leonard Hall from October 13 to October 17 to check out the Haven Project’s exhibit, which features a powerful visual tribute to individuals whose lives were ended by domestic violence. The exhibit will then move to 📍Eberly from October 20 to October 24.

Get ready for your future at the Career and Professional Development Center.

All are invited to this presentation on Monday, October 13, at 6:00 p.m. in 📍Elkin Hall’s Great Room. The Honorable Daniel J. Clifford will share his personal story as the first openly gay judge in Montgomery County. He is a Family Court judge and will discuss the practice of law, the intersection of identity, and how IUP prepared him for his career.
