Save the date for summer swim lessons!

Registration for summer 2026 swim lessons opens on Monday,  May 4 at 8 a.m. for Georgetown residents and Tuesday, May 5 at 8 a.m. for nonresidents.

A variety of swim lessons are offered for all age groups.

Is your child curious about reptiles? SSSuper Snakes provides a safe environment for them to learn about and interact with snakes with the help of an experienced professional. Programming includes a combination of live snakes from Texas (nonvenomous) as well as a digital slideshow with side-by-side comparisons of venomous and nonvenomous snakes, snake safety information, recommended reading/resources and more.

 

This program is presented by Michael Foux with Austin Reptile Shows.

Join our summer squad!


We are now hiring:
- lifeguards
- swim instructors
- camp counselors
- tennis camp instructors


Positions are for people age 15 and older. Pay ranges start at $12.50. Other benefits include flexible schedules, free membership to the recreation and tennis centers, free summer pool passes, paid certifications and growth opportunities.

Summer jobs like these are great opportunities for teenagers, college students, and anyone looking for a fun way to earn extra money.

Join us for Star Wars Day on May 4

Legacy Pavilion, San Gabriel Park, 521 E. Morrow St.

May the fourth be with you! Join us in San Gabriel Park for a park pop up event as we celebrate Star Wars Day!

We'll be showing Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PG) on the big screen.

Test your abilities on our Jedi training course, battle with light sabers and destroy the Death Star. We’ll have some special guests in attendance so come in costume and get some memorable photos! The Georgetown Public Library will be on site providing crafts and additional activities.

Zydeco Ice will be onsite selling shaved ice.

All are welcome at this free public event.
