It's International Pet Groomer Appreciation Day!

Meet Our Pet Groomers. Experienced. Passionate. Caring.
By Merritt Milam
November 1 is International Pet Groomer Appreciation Day and to celebrate our talented groomers, we sat down with Stephanie Hazen, owner and head groomer of Iron City PAWfection, and our grooming partner. Here's what she had to say.

Pet(s) Of The Month Lady and Kirby

This month our Pet(s) of the Month are chosen family, Lady (King Charles Cavalier) & Kirby (Irish Cream Golden Retriever). These sweet pups are roommates and clearly chosen family!

Lady was so excited to introduce her new brother to her classmates when he was just a puppy. Now Kirby is a big boy and has new friends that he gets to share stories with Lady. We are so glad their moms are best friends and decided to share their little (and not so little) besties with us.

We love having Lady & Kirby at Camp Wags and are so glad to be a part of their chosen family!

(P)UPDATE TIP

Fall Dangers For Pets

Fall can bring about several dangers for pets, and pet owners need to be aware of these risks and take steps to keep their furry friends safe. Here are a few common fall dangers for pets:

Poisonous Plants: Many plants that are toxic to pets, such as certain mushrooms and autumn crocus, can be found in gardens and parks during the fall. Keep an eye on what your pet is munching on during outdoor activities.
Rodenticides: As the weather cools, rodents seek shelter indoors, leading to increased use of rodenticides. These can be deadly to pets if ingested. Keep these substances out of your pet's reach.
Seasonal Allergies: Just like people, pets can develop seasonal allergies. Watch for signs like excessive itching, sneezing, or watery eyes, and consult your veterinarian if you suspect your pet has allergies.
