From the Director of Admission

Last month you heard from Dean of Admission Patricia DeBolt. This month, let's hear from Katie Reed, director of admission:
You're busy connecting with college reps as they're out traveling. You're busy with seniors and their families as they're working on their post-secondary plans. You're busy with the many other things your role entails.
Our TU counselors are busy traveling the country to meet with counselors, students and parents. Our visit team is busy arranging events for our guests. Our operations team is busy preparing admission files. And, our admission officers are busy reading files and making decisions.
During this busy time for all of us, I hope you'll find time to rest and recharge!

Students can waive the $50 app fee
Students who submit the application for admission to The University of Tulsa by Nov. 1 can do so for FREE!
|
-
Students submitting the Tulsa YOU app won't be directed to a payment page.
-
Students submitting the Common App should choose “Applying by November 1” to the question in The University of Tulsa General Section that asks, “Do you intend to use one of these school-specific fee waivers?” to bypass the payment page.

| Early Action I Deadline
TU offers two Early Action application plans with the Early Action I deadline being Nov. 1. TU must have received the student’s application for admission and the official high school transcript by Nov. 1 for an Early Action I decision in mid-December. All admission decisions are non-binding; admitted students will have until May 1 to let us know their college decisions.

| Counselor Fly-In
We welcomed 17 counselors in September to see a bit of the city of Tulsa, tour our beautiful campus, meet with faculty from our four undergraduate colleges and stay for tailgating and a TU football win over Temple University. Click here for photos from the two-day event. Let your admission counselor know if you want to be considered for a future Counselor Fly-In so you can experience Tulsa firsthand, too!

Earlier this year, 10 amazing TU students were featured in an episode of The College Tour. This series, which airs on Amazon Prime, gives high school and transfer students – and their families – an inside look at dozens of colleges and universities. In this clip, Freddy Ward shares some of the traditions at TU. From fall football games to the Final Bell ceremony in May, traditions abound at The University of Tulsa!
