This training series is intended for teams of 3-6 members working with students with higher support needs such as autism. The CETA will be presented as a process tool for teams to assess strengths and areas for development related to current implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) at the classroom level.

We encourage the RCN to invite teams to apply who have not attended the Using the CETA to Promote Evidence-Based Classroom Practices training or any START trainings before! Consider teams in your region who are not connected to START.

The Michigan Autism Council needs input from school professionals and families! The Autism Council is seeking input through stakeholder surveys to improve services for autistic individuals and their families.

Your feedback as a family member or school professional is crucial in shaping the future of autism services and support in Michigan.

The application for the EPLI Essential Foundations Bootcamp is open. 

The Essential Foundations Bootcamp is an integration of the universal supports, behavioral practices, and instructional strategies from Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Educational Supports and Strategies, and other START training modules and resources. 

The Bootcamp consists of four days of content and coaching and two days of Trainer Days, which are collaborative days intended to strengthen training and presentation skills, for a total of six days. 

Collaboration between schools and families leads to improved outcomes for students. We encourage all RCN to incorporate activities supporting family engagement as you propose annual contract activities. 

To help with planning, we would like to share some ideas for RCN activities that can foster family engagement. Feel free to use these to inspire other creative ideas that match the needs, interests, and strengths of your region.

→ We are inviting the RCN to distribute the START Training and Training Series Flyers to staff, community members, and families across your region. 

START has also developed Training and Training Series Slides for use in presentations.

 The Statewide Autism Resources and Training (START) Project is funded by the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education to provide training and technical assistance to educators in Michigan that serve students with ASD.
