Archit is pursuing an MBA in supply chain management and will graduate this May. He earned his undergraduate degree in finance from SGT University, near Delhi. Currently a senior account manager for a digital marketing firm, he was employed by the KATTE Foundation, a Bangalore-based NGO (non-governmental organization) with a goal of providing educational opportunities for girls in impoverished areas, along with building an inclusive and equitable society through other initiatives. Archit is the president of the IUP India Students Association. The organization focuses on sharing Indian culture with the IUP community while showing respect for all cultures and individuals on campus. Please note this week’s India Day celebration and plan to attend! We thank you, Archit!
Staff Spotlight: Meghan Erwin
An associate professor in the Department of Undergraduate Studies and Student Success, Meghan teaches courses in first-year success, developmental mathematics, sophomore transition, major and career exploration, strategies for learning, and training for peer educators. She also advises students who are admitted into the University College’s exploratory programs. Meghan is the new director of Academic Advising, established as part of the new Student Success Infrastructure. In this faculty role, she oversees the Advising Center and is an active resource for faculty advisors on academic policy at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Meghan provides professional development opportunities for faculty, particularly in matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the advising process. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the IUP men’s and women’s rugby clubs, both of which had successful runs to the national 7s championships last spring. We thank you, Meghan!
[Note: Students can utilize the Advising Center (Stabley Library B-01) in several ways, including getting immediate assistance with advising and scheduling questions and exploring a new major, minor, or certificate.]
A note about IUP Values Me: Each week, we highlight one student and one staff member to “shine a spotlight” on their leadership and involvement in campus programs and their great work assisting our campus community with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and/or civil rights awareness. If you have a suggestion for an IUP community member to feature in this section, please email social-equity@iup.edu.
