Special Guest - July 27

Rev. Lizzie Wright

On Sunday, July 27, we will welcome the Reverend Lizzie Wright, Executive Director of Austin Region Justice for Our Neighbors as our guest at Wellspring. JFON serves immigrants and refugees in our community through free legal services, advocacy, and education.

Lizzie will be preaching at both 9:00 and 11:00 worship services and she will also share a presentation on the work of Justice for Our Neighbors during the 10:00 Sunday School hour. Mark your calendars!

We are receiving a special second-mile offering to help with flooding both in the Texas Hill Country and locally here in Williamson County. You can write "flood" in the memo line of the check or envelope. For those who wish to give online, you can give using THIS LINK. Just write "Flood" in the optional note space, and it will go to the intended place.

Thank you for being a congregation that cares and stands in solidarity with those who are suffering at this time.

Hearts Transformed Class, Rm 203, 2nd Floor
This class studies the weekly worship sermon...
“Samaritan Plumblines”
The story of the Samaritan is a story about how people whom we have harmed or marginalized can serve as a plumbline by showing up in ways that remind us of how Christ shows up for us. We are called to be radically relational, even in the face of systemic injustice, and to show up as a neighbor to those we meet even as we fight systemic injustice (which is tedious/slow/faith-based).
