Hi Ski & Snowboard School,
Guests love seeing their Ski & Snowboard School experience come to life in the My Epic app — and photos are one of the most meaningful ways we deliver that magic. Even two simple photos can make a huge impact on how families remember their day.
Our guests tell us they especially value lesson photos and post‑lesson summaries. And, the absence of photos is a top reason guests feel they missed out on the full digital experience.
|
|
|
Why photos matter to the guest: |
- Helps families relive fun moments long after they leave the resort
- Shows progress and confidence, especially for kids learning new terrain
- Boosts overall satisfaction and makes guests more likely to return
- Provides a personal, memorable touch they can share with friends and family
|
|
|
Two photos = a complete story
Our goal is a minimum of two photos per guest. Tagging and sending two photos per student, per class generates a push-notification directly to guests’ devices to engage with the live lesson experience. No professional-level action shots are required, and no special setup is needed.
|
Great built‑in moments to safely capture photos include: |
- First rest spot
- Gondola rides
- Hot cocoa breaks
- Lunch time with new friends
- New terrain milestones
- Resort specific vistas, views, and landmarks
|
Tips & tricks for easy, safe photo taking: |
-
Use stationary moments - safety always wins. If it’s not safe, wait for a better moment.
- Tell the group what you're doing – let your group know that you’ll be capturing some moments from the day, and see if there’re any specific memories they’d value.
- Capture smiles, not speed - simple group shots work great. Tag multiple students in one photo.
-
Take photos now, tag later – we know it isn’t always realistic to take, tag, and send photos in the same moment. Take photos when you have the opportunity, and those photos will remain in your gallery. Then, tag and send the photos to My Epic when you have time.
- Photos never save to your personal device - everything stays secure in the app.
|
Reminder: the Student ID photo captured at check-in does not count towards the target of 2 photos per student per lesson. The Student ID photo is for internal use only and is not sent to guests.
Photos help guests connect deeply with their experience — and with you. A couple of quick snapshots are all it takes to deliver a memorable lesson story that families will revisit again and again.
Thanks for everything you do to make these moments happen.
