Honey Homes Raises Series A Led By Khosla Ventures
Honey Homes, co-founded by CMU alumnus Vishwas Prabhakara (Yelp’s first general manager) and his wife, Avantika Prabhakara, has raised a Series A led by Khosla Ventures. The company helps make home ownership less painful by offering up a dedicated handyman to take care of random tasks.
Since inception, the company has raised a total of $12.1M.

| Gather AI Acquires Drone Inventory Competitor, Ware
Gather AI, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered autonomous inventory management solutions using commodity hardware, announced that it has acquired the business of Ware, another large player in the market. With this acquisition, Gather AI, co-founded by CEO Sankalp Arora, said it now has 25 customers, more than any other autonomous inventory management solution provider.

Espire Dental Selects Pearl As AI Provider Across All Practice Locations

Pearl, the global leader in dental AI solutions founded by CEO Ophir Tanz, and Espire Dental, a fast-growing, doctor-led Integrated Dental Organization (IDO), has announced a partnership to implement Pearl’s Second Opinion® and Practice Intelligence® solutions in Espire’s 27 practice locations.
Pearl has also has secured its tenth patent, covering the technology that powers chairside disease detection with AI.

The Swartz Center Hosts One America Works Investor Event
One America Works and Director/CMU alumnus Nathan Pitzer invited multiple investors to the CMU Swartz Center on Thursday morning, June 29, 2023 to hear from CMU startup founders as part of an Investor Event. Some of the investors in attendance were: 412 Ventures, 1888 Ventures, Blue Tree Capital, Drive Capital, Foundation Capital, Comback Capital, Early Light Ventures, Tech Square Ventures, Valley Capital Partners, Armory Square Ventures, Gigafund and Revolution.
The startups who presented were: Shift Robotics, founded by Xunjie Zhang, Mach 9 Robotics, founded by Alexander Baikovitz and Blastpoint, founded by Alison Alvarez.
