Management Professor Receives Fulbright Specialist Program Award to Slovakia |
Dr. Volkan Ozbek, assistant professor of management, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright Specialist Program award by the U.S. Department of State. This September, he will travel to the University of Presov in the Slovak Republic to collaborate on a project focused on global management practices and institutional partnership-building.

More Than 1,200 Students Participate in Annual Jaguar March

A&M–San Antonio welcomed over 1,200 incoming students during the ninth annual Jaguar March on August 20, marking the beginning of their academic journeys. Family, friends and community members joined in the celebration as students walked from the campus fountain to the Torre de Esperanza and back, where the festivities continued.

The University has been buzzing with excitement as the fall 2025 semester has gotten underway. The beloved Weeks of Welcome celebration kicked things off with back-to-school festivities, including a lively Penny Social on the Madla Lawn, job fairs, blood drives, money-management workshops and a Disglow Paint Rave. Weeks of Welcome runs through September 13.
