PROGRAMMERS' PICKS

"The unforgettable imagery of watching a man hunt crocodiles with his bare hands in the depths of a Cuban swamp provides a standout reason to catch this vividly shot documentary. However, it is the film's powerful message of family bonds that will stick with you long after you watch it."

—Matthew Jackett, Programmer

TODAY, 10/11 | 7:45pm | East Hampton Regal UA

A Q&A with director David Bim is expected to follow the screening.

"After a couple is kidnapped from their kibbutz in the attacks of October 7, 2023, three generations are left behind to grapple with the aftermath, which they come to view from differing perspectives. Brandon Kramer's intimate portrait of a family won Best Documentary at the Berlin Film Festival for tackling the moral complexity of this ongoing conflict with adept sensitivity."

—Kristin McCracken, Programmer

 —Anna Lawrence, Programmer

The East End is a tremendous resource to filmmakers with its stunning scenery, rich history, and inspiring residents. As with any place, it can also present unique production challenges that require creative solutions. Filmmakers Ari Selinger (ON THE END), MC Harvey (LET'S NOT SUFFER AT THE END OF THE WORLD), and Emily Anderson (PORTRAIT OF THE LIGHTHOUSE) will discuss their local filmmaking experiences.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Remember: To guarantee admission, all ticket and passholders must be present in line at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to every scheduled event start time.

Nothing is ever sold out! Don’t be discouraged if advance tickets are no longer available—while never guaranteed, Rush Lines are an excellent bet.
