Builders Blitz 2025 kicked off Jan. 23 with a groundbreaking ceremony at our lots in Kissimmee with our builders and future homeowners, Tannique and Quarlisa. This is the 11th Habitat home that local builder Park Square Homes and its subcontractors and vendors will donate the materials, supplies and labor to build as part of the annual Builders Blitz event. PCL Construction marks its 4th Habitat home donation and over two decades as a Habitat Orlando & Osceola supporter.

We officially launched the Orange County Financial Empowerment Center on Jan. 8! This is the first of its kind in state and we're the first-ever Habitat for Humanity affiliate to serve as a provider. We're grateful to our partners, Orange County Government and the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, as well as our funder Wells Fargo. Thank you to Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, commissioners, staff, our Board of Directors, and team members who joined us to celebrate.

Here’s how it works:
✅ Free professional one-on-one financial counseling
✅Open to anyone who lives or works in Orange County
✅ Sessions are offered in-person or virtually, allowing for maximum flexibility
✅ Financial counselors provide tailored guidance, starting with a Financial Health Assessment and free credit report pull
✅ Clients set personalized financial goals and track their progress with ongoing support

We are excited to announce an upcoming information session for homeowners interested in our free roof replacement and major home repair services!

Join us on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Holden Heights Community Center (1201 20th St., Orlando) to learn more about how these services can enhance the safety and resilience of your home. This includes our new 2025 program for qualified residents recovering from Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.
