With the loss of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and the extreme devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, many are in need of our support right now. We encourage your second-mile giving to bolster organizations that can help. There are three we are highlighting:
The Caring Place provides fresh food for families in need, once per month per family, through their food pantry.
Helping Hands of Georgetown provides barrier-free access to basic necessities, especially food.
And The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is responding to Hurricane Melissa to assist the Jamaica District and Haiti District of the United Methodist Church with immediate needs, including, food, water, temporary shelter, hygiene kits, and over-the-counter medication.
To donate, write "Crisis" in your note or memo line of your donation, and your gift will be split equally among these three worthy ministry partners. Thank you!
