Nine Larner College of Medicine Class of 2026 medical students have been selected to participate as 2023-24 Schweitzer Fellows and will spend hundreds of hours over the next year completing projects that focus on addressing existing health disparities throughout the region in solidarity with community partners.

Medical faculty and students volunteered at the Vermont City Marathon in Burlington on May 28, working in the medical tent alongside paramedics, emergency medical technicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and nurses. Katie Dolbec, M.D., associate professor of emergency medicine, served as medical director, overseeing the team of volunteers.
