Zero Tricks, Lots of Treats

Halloween arrived early at our big barn with this year’s “Not So Spooky” Stable Shindig. Horses and riders dressed up, stalls were decorated, costumed trick-or-treaters arrived and lots of candy was handed out! This year we expanded the Shindig to include a fundraising Raffle and Bake Sale plus a Selfie Station. We were thrilled to raise over $700 to help purchase winter hay for our 18 lesson horses. A big thank you to all who decorated, donated items, and supported. We love sharing the gift of God’s horses and the Still Waters spirit with the community!

NDA Dressage Banquet

Still Waters was pleased to host this year's annual NDA Dressage Year End Banquet.  Riders from over 5 area barns participated in recognising the hard work that all riders have accomplished in the last year.  We had a lovely mexican buffet lunch  followed by business meeting, voting of officers, awards, silent auction and yummy cupcakes and hot chocolate bar.  Thank you to our own Jen Weaver (NDA Vice President) for making this happen. Pictured at the left are some of our, lovely, hard working Still Waters Riders with their awards.

Winter is on the Way

As much as we, including our horses, have been enjoying these beautiful fall days,we know ol’ man winter is right around the corner. As we prepare by servicing snow blowers, our lesson horses get ready too, growing out long, furry, insulating winter coats. We do our part to help them stay warm and healthy during the winter by checking their paddock shelters for drafts; making sure the heaters are working in their water troughs; increasing their hay rations a bit to give them the energy to stay warm; and watching for signs of illness like runny noses or coughing (horses get colds too!). It’s nature’s way for horses to stay outdoors year around. It’s the Still Waters way to give our horses the best possible care, no matter the season. Join us in providing this best care https://stillwaterseq.org/support-us/
