Another major highlight of the semester was hosting the IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference. Our students did an outstanding job organizing this event, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork at every level. And the conference was nearly double the size of a typical regional gathering! It was especially inspiring to see so many IEs in leadership roles, reinforcing that there is truly no limit to where an industrial engineering degree can take you.
Beyond these achievements, our department continues to make meaningful contributions through research and outreach. From advancing work in emerging areas like quantum computing to addressing critical societal challenges and expanding access to engineering through new scholarship programs, Clemson IE remains committed to making a difference. We are also encouraged by the growing interest in our program, as more students discover the opportunities and impact of industrial engineering.
Finally, our continued rise in the U.S. News & World Report rankings is a testament to the strength and momentum of our program. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our students, faculty, staff and alumni, and underscores the national impact of Clemson Industrial Engineering.
