Dear Eagle Nation:

Homecoming Week was packed with Eagle spirit and great celebrations. The week was a tremendous success due to each of you, and your contributions. Our collective celebration of individual and shared achievements, appreciation for our culture, and the bond within the Coppin Community made it a truly remarkable experience.
Scenes from Homecoming 2024
Our Homecoming events brought alumni back to the 'Nest' from across the country. We welcomed our new Presidential and Fanny Jackson Coppin scholars to campus, stomped the yard with the Divine Nine, and line danced until the sun came up. Together, we created new memories and demonstrated our unwavering loyalty to our beloved Coppin.
President Anthony L. Jenkins delivering 2024 State of the University Address.
I had the privilege of delivering the 2024 State of the University Address. I showcased the unprecedent momentum and progress we have made and outlined our strategic plans for a thriving future. A few highlights include enrollment up 5%, retention increased to 74% (up from 57% in 2019), increased investing endowment by 53%, and research and grants increased from $2 million (2019) to $14.1 million (2023). We made a great impact with the opening of the Eagle Achievement Center and Coppin Corner. As a student-centered university we sought to enhance the student experience launching the President and First Lady’s Closet. We will also break ground on a new residence hall. As we continue to educate divers, multigenerational student population, serve the community, and lead in innovative problem-solving, we aim to shape the trajectory of our nation state and the nation.
