| STEM Ambassadors
We are in the midst of choosing our 2023-2024 cohort - we'll share their names in our next newsletter. Also, we have our final class visit of the semester this Friday! The Ambassadors have been making such a positive impact on the high school students!

| BEST
Julia Rivera (Cohort 13) led a fun workshop for her cohort - everyone got to make tacos! (see above image, left)
On March 3rd, BEST students visited MathWorks, networked with staff, and participated in fun STEM activities! (see above image, right)
Sehba and the Admissions team conducted interviews for the prospective BEST students for the Class of 2027. The offer letters have been sent out, and decisions are due by May 1st!
Admitted BEST students will have the opportunity to meet with Sehba and current BESTies at Jumbo Days this month.

LSAMP
Applications close Friday, April 21st
The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is an NSF funded program to support historically underrepresented students in the STEM fields through faculty mentorship, paid research opportunities, and developing scientific communication skills. Students will be paired with a faculty member to participate in 10 weeks of paid research each semester.

CMHS' Project Connect
Project Connect is a non-clinical, 6-week, peer led program for grad and undergrad students that helps students build connection with each other. Small groups of students meet for an hour each week with a trained peer facilitator to discuss a series of thought-provoking questions and complete a mini-connection project.
