Commercial Markets & Leadership Update |
|
|
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of expanded roles for Kate Skouteris and Bill Bourassa in support of our new Regional Markets structure which unifies Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.*
|
- Kate Skouteris will now serve as Vice President of Regional Commercial Markets, leading the Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine markets effective immediately.
- Bill Bourassa will now serve as Sales Director of Regional Commercial Markets, where he will continue to lead each state’s sales and account management teams for Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

With these changes, we look forward to Kate and Bill’s continued success with our organization in support of your needs, as well as our mutual clients.

*The Massachusetts market remains as is with no changes in leadership or current teams.

Our 2024 Broker Compensation Program details will be available later this month. Each state’s market will continue to offer defined programs to support new group sales, as well as rewards for retained groups. Log in to our Broker Portal under the general materials tab to view specific details.

Important Renewal Information for Rhode Island Accounts
|
As a reminder, employers and members will be notified that Tufts Health Plan medical plans will no longer be offered in Rhode Island in 2024. Employer groups will automatically be enrolled in a Harvard Pilgrim Health Care plan that closely aligns with their existing health plan. If they wish to choose a different plan, they may enroll in one of our other plans or any other coverage offered in Rhode Island. Employer groups can visit harvardpilgrim.org to review the Summary of Benefits and Coverage and other plan documents. You can view a sample of the employer and member communications in the broker portal.

Now Available: 2024 Online Quoting & Renewals for Small Group - All States |
Small group brokers are now able to manage their 2024 small group quoting and renewals through the broker portal. Pre-renewals for 2024 began in September followed by online quoting and renewal activities in November. Brokers can simply log in to the broker portal to manage their 2024 small group business for all states in one location.

Any remaining 2023 NH/ME/RI small group activity will continue to be managed in HPOQ/R and THP BrokerLink, which can be accessed in the Quick Links section in the portal.

2024 Harvard Pilgrim Plan Updates: Medicare Non-Compliance
|
There are two (2) 2024 Rhode Island plans whose pharmacy coverage (Rx) does not meet Medicare Creditable Coverage standards:

- HMO HSA 7250 MD0000201299 RX0000201156

PPO HSA 7250 MD0000201311 RX0000201156
|
Employers can use the Model Individual Non-Creditable Coverage Disclosure Notice Language letter to inform employees of the Medicare Non-Creditable Coverage plans.

New: Wellness Reimbursement Program
|
Our expanded Wellness Reimbursement program begins January 1, 2024. This is an update to the existing fitness reimbursement program and offers rebates on a broad range of wellness activities and expenses, including existing fitness subscriptions and fees. Harvard Pilgrim commercial plans sold to fully-insured large employer groups, and ASO plans that elect this option, will have access to the Wellness Reimbursement program. Small group plans will continue to have access to the fitness reimbursement.

NEW: AbleTo Mental Health Support
|
members now have access to AbleTo mental health support. This program aims to seamlessly combine on-demand, self-care tools and personalized virtual therapy sessions. These services will remain available to members as they migrate to Harvard Pilgrim products in 2024.

|
|
| Coming Soon: Dental & Vision Plans
|
We are preparing for the arrival of new dental and vision products to complement our existing Harvard Pilgrim health plan portfolio. Additional details will be available later this year. Product training sessions will be offered in early 2024 to our broker community.
