Grandparents’ and Special Friend Day is right around the corner! On Monday, April 15th, we will be hosting the kindergarten, first, & second grade students and their grandparents or special guests. Each child will be allowed to bring up to two guests. It will begin with Mass at 8:45 A.M. followed by bingo and refreshments in Kampschneider Hall and Hanneman Hall.

At the Creighton Prep speech tournament held last Friday, April 5th, Alexis Baas placed 9th in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Caroline Seppala placed 3rd in Humorous Interpretation of Literature. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Aleah Adams for placing 3rd in the fifth-grade division of the Virginia Frank Memorial writing contest, sponsored by the Omaha Public Library. Aleah won $50.00 for her story “Perfect.” The school also received a matching donation, which will be used to buy books for our library.

2024-2025 After School Care Registration
Registration for the 2024-2025 After School Care Program will open Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 8:00 A.M. All families will receive a mailing from the school at that time with the link for the registration form.
Due to limited personnel, only 75 children will be accepted initially. Acceptance will be determined based on time/date of sign up. All others who register before May 1 will be placed on a waitlist. As additional employees are hired, more children will be accepted. Only full-time registrations will be accepted; there will be no part-time or drop-in service requests accepted.
Only students enrolled in kindergarten-8th Grades for 2024-2025 are eligible for After School Care services. Preschoolers are not accepted to the ASC program.

Celebrate on Monday, April 15th, as Ms. Hermsen's Room 13 plans and leads our grades K-2 Grandparents' Day Mass at 8:45 A.M., or Tuesday, April 16th, as Mrs. Wane's Room 61 plans and leads 3-8 at 8:15 A.M. Mass.

FALL 2024 VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Online registrations for the fall 2024 SVdP volleyball season are now being accepted. Volleyball is open to students entering 4th-8th grades for 2024-2025 who will be enrolled in SVdP's five-day school or religious formation classes. Registration fees are $75.00 per participant, with registration ending on April 19. Click here for more information and to register.

After School Care
St. Vincent de Paul School is accepting applications for part-time After School Care employees. The position follows the school calendar from August-May. Hours will be 3:00-6:00 P.M. Please contact Mrs. Diane Warneke at warneked@svdpomaha.org.

Kitchen Part time Assistance is needed in the School Cafeteria. The hours are M-F 10:30 to 1:30 on all days that school lunch is served. The main duty is running our Point of Sale program for student lunches. This includes interacting with students to make sure their lunch trays are complete. Also included is light clean up and preparing the area for each lunch session. EVANGELIZATION COORDINATOR POSITION NOW OPEN AT SVdP – SVdP is currently seeking applicants for an Evangelization Coordinator. The Evangelization Coordinator will direct parish evangelization efforts. The role also includes program creation and management, discipleship formation, and forming teams of staff and volunteers to develop and maintain the steps of the parish's Clear Path of Discipleship. This position plays an active role in parish leadership, volunteer coordination, and program and ministry support.

PASTORAL MINISTER POSITION NOW OPEN AT SVdP – SVdP is currently seeking applicants for a Pastoral Minister. The Pastoral Minister will work with the priests and parish staff to provide pastoral leadership and support for designated ministry groups within the parish. These ministries include Ministry to the Sick, Outreach Ministry, New Parishioner Welcome, Prayer Ministry, and Safe Environment Coordination.

CALLING ALL BAKERS! Please consider donating baked items to the Spring Bake Sale sponsored by the Family Guild to be held after all Masses on April 13-14. Please mark your donated items $1 to $3 for small items, $4 to $6 for medium items, and $7 to $10 for larger items. A basket will be available for cash donations. All proceeds from the sale will support parish funeral luncheons, school scholarships, and much more. Baked goods can be dropped off Saturday afternoon (April 13) inside the SW door by the parish center on the designated Bake Sale cart.
