LUNCH LINE SCANNING WORK PLANNED FOR OPEN HOUSE
SVdP uses software and equipment to scan student finger so that students going through the lunchline can process lunch charges with the touch of a finger; this speeds up our lunchline so that kids have more time to enjoy their meals. All scanning data is stored locally, is not personally identifiable, and is not shared outside of the SVdP lunch program.
Students who will be new to SVdP for 2023-2024 are encouraged to stop by the Media Center during Open House on August 15 from 5:00-6:30pm. Mr. Bentzen will be available for scanning work during that time. Scanning for each student will only take a minute or so.
“New” students are those students at any grade level PK-8 who have not previously participated in SVdP’s lunch program but will for the coming year.
SVdP PARENTS COFFEE CLUB
In an effort to promote greater community and communications outreach among parents, both of which took a back seat the past few years, SVdP is launching the SVdP Parents Coffee Club program.
We are asking for parent volunteers from each of our K-8 Homerooms to host a simple social gathering immediately after school Masses for which their children's Homerooms are in charge of planning and preparation.
Volunteers would be responsible for welcoming fellow classroom parents at the Holy Grounds coffee area in the Parish Center with coffee and light refreshments. Announcements for each gathering will be included as appropriate in Virtual Backpacks, with Homeroom teachers promoting their class Mass and SVdP Parents Coffee Club.
Click here to sign up for this exciting outreach opportunity. Volunteers will be provided additional information well in advance of social dates.
