Making Learning Possible Through Collaboration |
The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity, Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Native American Initiatives collaborated to welcome over 300 students to campus during the inaugural “Burge Bash” event at the Burge Union. Burge Bash was one of many events held in August as part of the University's Jayhawk JumpStart program.

Facilitated Safe Zone trainings for 236 staff, students, and faculty, a decrease from the previous year of 21.3%.

|
Welcomed an estimated 10,300 students and guests to campus during Unionfest, an increase of 21.2%.

| Sorority and Fraternity Life (SFL) |
Facilitated 1,123 students' participation in PHA Formal Recruitment
with 961 students accepting bids, increases from the previous year of 33.8% and 41.7%, respectively.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) |
Provided care to 532 students through 1,691 appointments, increases from the previous year of 17.4% and 12.4%, respectively.

| KU Recreation Services (Rec. Svcs) |
Registered 11 intramural dodgeball teams and offered 38 weekly KU Fit classes, increases from the previous year of 57.1% and 46.2%, respectively.

| Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS) |
Opened 155 conduct cases for student respondents allegedly involved in policy violations, an increase from the previous year of 39.6%.

Hosted 300 students at the Free Feminist Book Fair, an increase from the previous year of
57.1%.

Provided 5,833 beds to meet increased on-campus housing demand, an increase from the previous year of 14.1%.

Hosted 175 student organizations at the SILC Involvement Fair, an increase from the previous year of

Health Education Resource Office (HERO) |
Provided Jayhawk Buddy System info to 1,700 community members at Country Stampede, a decrease
from the previous year of 43.3%.

| Legal Services for Students (LSS) |
Distributed 238 t-shirts to students who returned t-shirt vouchers included with info packets they received from LSS, a 43.2% return rate.

| Student Support and Case Management (SSCM) |
Received 123 student referrals from members of the campus community, an increase from the previous year of 50.0%.

Hilltop Child Development Center (Hilltop) |
Engaged 150 students seeking employment at the Part-Time Job Fair
and provided info about the Student-aide position.

| Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) |
Engaged 135 students at the 2nd Annual Fish Fry, an increase from the previous year of
84.9%.

| Watkins Health Services (WHS) |
Administered 443 COVID-19 tests to members of the campus community, a decrease
from the previous year of 16.4%.

| Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Center (SAPEC) |
Trained 4,437 students as active Bystanders through Jayhawks Give a Flock, an increase from the previous year of 11.9%.

1. 300 staff, students, and faculty participated in Summer 2022. This year's attendance decrease reflects departments requiring only new hires to complete the training.
2. 453 student-patients and 1,505 appointments in Summer 2022.
3. 191 students attended the book fair in August 2022.
4. 95% of survey respondents (n=266) indicated they enjoyed the fair and would return next year.
5. Country Stampede event was shortened and attendance decreased this year due to inclement weather.

6. An estimated 8,500 students and guests attended in August 2022.
7. Seven dodgeball teams and 26 weekly KU Fit classes in August 2022.
8. 5,113 beds on campus in AY2022-23. Increased beds by reconfiguring existing space and negotiating off-campus master leases.
9. 551 LSS info packets distributed to students.
10. 73 students attended the Fish Fry in August 2022.
11. 3,964 students attended Jayhawks Give a Flock in August 2022. This year’s total subject to increase further based on students completing make-up sessions.

13. 111 conduct cases involving student respondents in August 2022.
14. Maximum capacity for the fair is 175 student organizations. 172 student organizations participated in August 2022.

16. 530 COVID-19 tests administered in Summer 2022.

Megan Lowry received the HERO Employee of the Year award.
