The FRESHFARM Foggy Bottom Market is set up outside the metro station every Wednesday all year round. Browse through stalls selling fresh produce, artisan goods, prepared meals, flowers, pastries, bread, and more between classes. Bring your friends and spread the word!

This summer, GW students took their passion for food systems beyond the classroom and into the field. By advocating for policy change to expand food access at the Gen Z Food and Hunger Summit, serving D.C.’s Columbia Heights community free meals directly through HIP x World Central Kitchen, and telling stories about climate, energy, and agriculture as Planet Forward Correspondents, students explored different ways to create change across the food system. Together, their experiences show that food systems advocacy can take many forms—from policy and service to storytelling and public engagement.
