World on A Plate, a course designed by world-renowned chef and humanitarian José Andrés, explores the many ways in which food intersects with public health, politics, science, industry, culture, and more. This semester, the course is opening the guest lecture series to the entire GW community. Students are invited to stop by for any session that interests them, with no course enrollment or registration required!

Join us at the Jack Morton Auditorium for the DC premiere of GROUNDSWELL, a Golden Globe winning documentary that takes viewers on a global journey to experience the regenerative movement that is reshaping our relationship to Earth. 

Narrated by Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson, the film shows how farmers, ranchers, scientists, change-makers and Indigenous leaders are using regenerative agriculture to restore the planet one acre at a time. 

Join us for a reception and participate in a panel discussion led by moderator Frank Sesno, and featuring panelists: Heather Dawn Thompson, VP Native Nations Conservation & Food Systems at World Wildlife Fund; Richa Patel, Policy Specialist at the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition; and Laura Turner Seydel, Executive Producer for Groundswell.

We’re proud to see our alumni bringing their knowledge and passion into the food systems field – and continuing to learn, grow, and make an impact in their communities.
