Inside Chelsea Square | Weekly Update from Vanderbilt |
|
| |
|
Hi neighbor,
We hope you are doing well and enjoying October!
A quick note: Beginning this month, Inside Chelsea Square will transition from weekly to every-other-week updates, as there are fewer week-to-week changes. You won’t see us in your inbox next Sunday, but fear not, we’ll be back on Sunday, Oct. 25. While our email frequency is changing, our commitment to staying connected and keeping you informed remains the same.
Here’s a look at what’s planned on the Vanderbilt University–New York City campus this week and next.

At a glance: Key community impacts |
- Construction hours: Construction activity is expected Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Updated access: The 21st Street entrance is now the campus community's primary entrance. Security staffs the gate 24/7, and all overnight campus entry is directed through this entrance.
- Restoration activity: Facade restoration and brownstone installation continue across campus. Neighbors may notice scaffolding changes, material movement and intermittent noise from exterior work. Interior renovation continues in Seabury, with minimal disruption anticipated for the community.
- Landscaping update: We expect to plant a tree in front of the Chapel this week.
-
Traffic and parking: Vehicles parked in marked no-parking zones are subject to towing. Deliveries and material removal will be similar to prior weeks, with flaggers directing traffic as needed.
- Event activity: Neighbors may notice additional campus activity to accommodate events on several days throughout the next two weeks. Impacts should remain relatively limited, with more foot traffic than usual as the most noteworthy impact.
- RSVP now open: This month’s Cocktails and Community RSVP is now open; information below!
