As the leaves change color and the air turns crisp, we are reminded of the beauty of this time of year. We're also halfway through the semester! Can you believe it? Our faculty, staff, and students have accomplished so much in the first half of the semester. From welcoming the largest FTIC class in history, to the recruitment of new faculty, and progress on our strategic plan UTA 2030, it has been an exciting fall semester in Maverick Country!
And there is more to come! The second half of the semester is packed with exciting events and opportunities, including midterms, finals, and our fall commencement. I also hope you will join me in celebrating Native American Heritage Month throughout November. UTA has a variety of events planned, and I encourage you to consider attending one, including a special edition of the Maverick Kitchen Series.
I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter, and please be sure to check out our website and social media page for even more news and information.
Sincerely,
Tamara L. Brown, Ph.D.
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
