The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) is now accepting pre-applications for the fourth annual Innovation Set-Aside, a unique opportunity to bring bold, forward-thinking housing solutions to Iowa communities.

To help applicants prepare, IFA will host a webinar on February 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. The session will provide an overview of the Innovation Set-Aside, including key timelines, expectations, and guidance on how to position innovative proposals for success.

The Innovation Set-Aside encourages creative ideas that may not always be achievable through the traditional 9% Tax Credit round. IFA is seeking proposals that demonstrate new approaches to serving targeted populations, partnerships, affordability, construction methods, energy efficiency, financing structures, and other forward-thinking strategies.

Submit your pre-application by May 1, 2026, 4:30 p.m. Central Time.
