Student Mental Health Support |
In September 2024, students were asked “How would you rate your overall health and well-being? Good, Okay, or Poor?"
Of the 906 who responded, 20% said they were doing poorly. Those students were then asked “What area do you need support in? Physical Health, Mental Health, or Lifestyle?”
The majority (62%) responded that they needed mental health support. If you know a student is struggling, you can refer them to the Counseling Center or the 24/7 mental health support online peer community Togetherall.
On April 9th, UAH will host Fresh Check Day, a mental health and suicide prevention event.

Coming Soon! New Faculty Community of Practice |
You are invited to join a community of practice in Fall 2025 for faculty interested in collaborating with peers on campus to implement evidence-based teaching practices to improve student experience. This community of practice is based on practices and research from the Student Experience Project (SEP). While we’re still working out the details, we expect faculty to invest about 15 hours during the fall semester.
To learn more about this project and the community of practice, you’re invited to attend the SEP Information Session on April 11, from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM (lunch provided). Use this form to RSVP.
For more information, contact Michelle Greene (Michelle.Greene@uah.edu).
