It’s rare that a student gets the opportunity to be in the room with a senator. But Georgia Tech’s first cohort of GTDC students were able to celebrate the Washington, D.C. launch of the program with three — Senators Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff and former Senator Sam Nunn.

Robert Rosenberger, associate professor in the School of Public Policy, recently gave a talk at the International Workshop on Phenomenology and the Philosophy of Technology hosted by the Design Lab at the University of Twente. He addressed "The Activist Potential of Postmodern Philosophy of Technology."

Three School of Modern Languages faculty members presented research at the German Studies Association conference in Montreal. John Lyon, Britta Kallin, and Annika Orich presented their research on topics such as folklore and fairy tale studies, German cultural studies, and others.

Stéphanie Boulard, a professor in the School of Modern Languages, was a speaker for the Alliance Française Author Series event.

Helen Anne Curry, the Melvin Kranzberg Professor in the History of Technology in the School of History and Sociology, was an invited speaker at the 2023 Gordon Cain Conference in Philadelphia. The conference's theme was "Science in Humanities, Humanities in Science: Embedded Connections." Curry spoke on the "Immediacy and Deferral" panel.
