More than 7,400 students — a combination of both undergraduate and graduate — have declared their candidacy to earn degrees in 2025. And they’ll all be honored across nine official events over eight days.

UCSB’s Media Arts and Technology program presents its 2025 end of year show, “Deep Cuts,” featuring graduate research in immersive media, AI, robotics and digital art across two public events in Santa Barbara.

Only sneakers, casual street shoes and hikers will be accepted during the drive, with collection sites at the Rec Cen, ICA and campus residence halls. In only its second year, already the drive has diverted more than 600 pairs of shoes from Santa Barbara County’s Tajiguas Landfill.
