MULTI-TALENTED, INDIE SOUTHERN ROCK BAND
SIX GUN SALLY
RELEASES VAMPY ORIGINAL TUNE
FAST TRAIN
Vocals & Instrumentation Rev Feverish Storyline
To Depart The Past As The Ticket Aboard A Fast Train To The Future
Due September 13, 2024
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Pennsylvania-based, raucous and rowdy indie southern rock band, Six Gun Sally, will release its nineteenth studio recording titled “Fast Train.”* Written by Jeff “Ford” Thurston,
Natalie Brady (The Voice/Season 15) and Six Gun Sally band leader and drummer, Dave Barbe, the single will be available via all digital retail outlets and streaming platforms on Friday, September 13, 2024. (Pre-save/presale event begins Friday, August 30; distribution by Ed Gertler/Digital Retail Services.)

Produced by Jeff “Ford” Thurston (who has co-produced more than a handful of the band’s studio recordings) alongside Dave Barbe, the vampy up-tempo is stoked by driving drums revved by rockin’ twangy guitar licks to depict fast-spinning wheel-sets burning down the railroad track as a whining whistle blows. Lead singer Aimee Jane Williams’ performance fuels the engine with a fiery grit and gravel punch softened by seductive, smooth-as-honey vocals. The feverish storyline sparks a departure from the comfort zone of the past as the ticket toward the future—aboard a fast train to a new love and the gravity of the pull.

“The storyline is about overcoming self-doubt and self-sabotage, and the journey to get back on track—ditching the past to find new love as the future,” introduced Dave Barbe. “The instrumentation and driving vibe is right down our alley.”

“Musically, it’s Bob Seger (‘Hollywood Nights’) meets Tom Petty (‘Runnin’ Down A Dream’),” added co-producer/co-writer Jeff Ford Thurston. “The drums talk and the guitars scream to heighten the urgency.”

I’m sick of competition
This war within myself
Got to get back on that track
Though I might need a little help
Well, there’s only two things baby
You got your word you got your health It’s a long way to happiness
Gotta get that fire back in my chest

I gotta let go of these feelings
Of self-sabotage and doubt.
I got my mind on track
Took me a while to figure out
Well, there’s always something baby
That’s gonna bring you to your knees.
Gotta rise above this emptiness and give my soul the love I need!

The recording features performances by the seven-piece band spotlighting Aimee Jane Williams on lead vocals and the seasoned musicianship of Allen Granus (lead guitar), Jeff Yeckel (lead and rhythm guitar), Dan Rach (keys), Stan Brusoski (bass), Billy G (drums) and Dave Barbe on percussion.

The September release sets the pace for the launch of the group’s Fall 2024 waterfall series of singles and stout tour schedule. Performing at festivals, arenas, amphitheaters and biker rallies across the country, Six Gun Sally has shared the stage with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker Band and Blackfoot.
