The OUR Awards Ceremony is Monday, April 3 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm. Every year OUR recognizes one undergraduate student researcher from each of the 18 colleges, in addition to acknowledging the Dee, Francis, and Parent Fund Scholars along with the Monson Prize winner.

For this year’s awards ceremony, OUR is also inaugurating the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award. Join us in celebrating this year’s award-winning researchers and mentors at the University of Utah who represent excellence in innovation.

SACNAS Diversity in STEM Conference |
The Diversity in STEM conference is a local multidisciplinary gathering which serves to equip, empower, and energize participants for their academic and professional paths in STEM.
Diversity in STEM will feature workshops for undergraduate students to prepare for graduate school, poster presentations, information about undergraduate research opportunities, a lunch social, and various “talks from scientists” on STEM topics on April 8, 2023 from 10AM - 4PM.

- Did you apply for Summer UROP funding? Make sure your faculty mentor submits their Mentor Reference by Friday, March 17 at 11:59PM MST.
- Heads up to students wanting to receive the Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation (URSD) or UROP scholars – did you miss presenting at UCUR? Virtual presentation available – deadline to upload presentation: April 14, 2023.
