Let’s Celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act |

Affirm Your Commitment to Access, Equity, and Inclusion for People with Disabilities at Colorado College |
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — a landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination and ensures equal opportunity for people with disabilities in employment, education, and public life.
The ADA, signed into law on July 26, 1990, was the result of decades of advocacy to remove physical and attitudinal barriers to full participation. Its passage affirmed that disability rights are civil rights, reshaping campuses, workplaces, and communities nationwide.
At CC, access and inclusion are core to who we are. Accessibility isn’t a single initiative—it’s a shared responsibility and ongoing commitment to ensuring every member of our community can thrive.
|
As we honor the ADA’s legacy, we reaffirm our dedication to removing barriers and fostering belonging, continuing the work of ensuring that CC remains a community where every person can fully participate and flourish. Join us throughout Block 3 to celebrate and learn more about accessibility at CC:
