Annual Area Alateen Recertification…Thank you! |
The World Service Office (WSO) Staff would like to congratulate the Areas for successfully completing the Annual Area Alateen Recertification.
Please give kudos to your Area Alateen Process Person and Area Alateen Coordinator, who collaborated to update all Al‑Anon Members Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) and Alateen group records. We want to especially thank the links of service and all AMIAS who contributed to supporting this annual effort.
“Together We Can Make It.”

On the Road Again? Find Meetings Anytime, Anywhere |
It’s time to hit the road again and excitement about summer vacation may be mixed with apprehension about what the family disease of alcoholism can bring. Ease this anxiety by making a plan before you travel. Look up meetings ahead of time and block off those hours on your calendar so that you can attend.
Search by zip code to find meetings close to your hotel, or plan to take in a meeting wherever you are using the Al‑Anon Family Groups Mobile App (AFG Mobile App).

“I am powerless over alcoholism. For many years I treated Step One as a lesson. I could not do anything about my loved one’s drinking. I was powerless over the alcoholic’s lying, stealing, anger, and absenteeism from our marriage…”

What Happened at the 2025 World Service Conference? |
The 65th World Service Conference (WSC) took place in Windsor, Connecticut, USA, April 24–27, 2025. Each year, following the WSC, the World Service Office compiles Highlights of the World Service Conference, which provides brief reports of several Conference sessions. The 2025 Highlights will be posted on the Al‑Anon website in July. Meanwhile, consider reading about what has occurred at past Conferences.

New Topic for the Member Blog |
When dealing with alcoholism, we may find ourselves close to resentment, feeling irritable and unreasonable without knowing it. July’s blog topic is, “How do you demonstrate love when detaching ‘with love’?”
As always, you can also write about Al‑Anon’s three Legacies. This month features Step Seven, Tradition Seven, and Concept Seven.
Sharings on the Member Blog may be used in future Al‑Anon publications.
New topics are being added each month!
