| No nursery care for evening Holy Week services |
Nursery care will not be available during any of the evening Holy Week services (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Great Vigil of Easter).
On Easter Sunday, the Nursery will open at 8:15 a.m., close from 10:00–10:45 a.m. so that all children can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, and then reopen at 10:45 a.m.
Also, we are currently seeking an additional paid caregiver for the Nursery—if you or someone you know is interested, please contact Emily Newton at nursery@stbs.net for more information.
We’re always grateful for volunteers—sign up to help here.
Finally, nursery families mark your calendars for our Spring Nursery Parent Brunch on April 27 at 10:00 a.m. in The Rectory!

| We are in need of 1,440 eggs filled with candy for our Egg Hunt on Easter morning at 10:15 a.m. |
We would be grateful to have help from
anyone in the church, not just parents who have children participating in the hunt!
You can help in these four ways:
1. Pick up bags of empty eggs from the pink bins on the porch, fill them with candy, and return them by Good Friday.
2. Fill your own eggs at home and put them in the pink bins by Good Friday (these eggs will not be returned).
3. Contact Meredith (615-479-5973) about when you can come up to church on Thursday to stuff eggs – eggs and candy will be provided.
4. Contact Meredith (615-469-5973) about coming to scatter eggs on Easter morning, 8:15-8:45 a.m.
Thanks for helping our kids celebrate the joy of Easter!

| Interactive Stations
of the Cross |
Good Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. |
Invite your friends, neighbors, your children or just come by yourself. We provide a guide with prayers and ways to interact at each station along our walking path and you move at your own pace. This is our fifth year doing this, and we love how various ages prayerfully enter the story of Jesus' last moments on earth.
Questions? Contact Meredith or Alysha.

As part of our Easter Celebration, we invite you to bring a food item to share between services. Think light, easy-to-enjoy breakfast fare – muffins, bagels, danishes, fruit, cheese and crackers –anything that doesn’t require utensils. Please drop off your contribution near the coffee area, either on the outdoor wooden tables or indoors if the weather is iffy. Let’s make this a joyful time of fellowship and celebration together!

| Special guests on April 27 |
Following the joyous celebration of the risen Christ on Easter Sunday, we are excited to welcome two special guests to St. B’s on April 27.
Bishop John Bauerschmidt will be in attendance at worship and author and professor Loren Wilkinson will be leading the adult formation class between services.

| Next adult formation class starts on May 4 |
We are excited to invite you to an adult formation opportunity focused on our new partnership with Head Middle School, located just a mile from downtown Nashville. On May 4, we’ll welcome Jenny Runyon, Project Manager for Operation Andrew, who will share inspiring stories, practical ways to get involved, and the heart behind supporting this vibrant school community. Head Middle has expressed needs ranging from literacy tutors and field trip chaperones to help with student orientation, concessions at sports events, teacher appreciation, and incentive donations.
The series kicks off May 4 with an overview of our church’s vision for this partnership, and continues May 11 and 18 with opportunities to learn, organize, and respond. We'll also hear from parishioner and middle school principal Seth Swihart as well as a STARS Mental Health Counselor and a Restorative Practices staff member to better understand the unique challenges students face at schools like Head. Even if you’re not sure if you want to volunteer with the partnership with Head, please come and learn how we might serve our community with grace and purpose.

| | Reimagining Justice in Our Communities on April 24 |
Join us for a powerful Justice Conversation on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., featuring Rev. Alisha Haddock—preacher, strategist, and Executive Director of Neighbor 2 Neighbor. As Co-Pastor of Christian Journey Fellowship Church and a longtime advocate for community transformation, Rev. Haddock brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, housing, and grassroots mobilization. Her work is deeply rooted in a liberating theology that calls people of faith to both comfort the afflicted and confront injustice, inspiring communities to build a more just and beloved world.
In this timely conversation, Rev. Haddock will examine the evolving role of civilian oversight in policing—reflecting on the past, assessing the present, and casting a vision for the road ahead. Drawing from her experience with the Nashville Community Review Board and the continued push for police accountability, she will explore how the legacy of George Floyd’s murder continues to shape our pursuit of public safety, dignity, and justice. This is more than a conversation—it’s a call to remember, reflect, and take action.

Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to you, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly yours, utterly dedicated unto you; and then use us, we pray, as you will, and always to your glory and the welfare of your people; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. |
