| Teacher of the Month - May 2025
In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.
Dominique Poncelet serves as a Science and Study Skills teacher at Southeast Middle School, where she mentors new educators and implements innovative teaching methods. Her students have an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where they feel valued and encouraged to excel.
Dominique’s dedication extends beyond the classroom, contributing to the school community through her involvement in various committees and initiatives. She demonstrates strong leadership skills, a compassionate nature, and commitment to educational excellence and believes in the transformative power of teaching to change lives and improve students’ futures.

| OkC/Tulsa Exchange meetingAbout 30 Club 29 Rotarians visited Tulsa for the April 23 exchange meeting. They toured Greenwood Rising Museum, and were guests of the Rotary Club of Tulsa Meeting, with Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols as the speaker. The tour was completed at WeStreet Ice Center, a 140,000-square-foot premier entertainment and dining complex which was formerly the Tulsa Promenade Mall, but is now home to the Tulsa Oilers' practice facility, as well as an ice skating rink open to the public.
In 2026, Club 29 will host Rotarians from Tulsa at one of our weekly meetings.

On July 1, 2024 the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City updated our accounting software to QuickBooks Online. With this change, the email address that sends your statements has been updated to: quickbooks@notification.intuit.com
Please add the above email address to your safe senders list and check your spam/junk folders for communications from our Rotary office. Quarterly statements were emailed and we appreciate your assistance to ensure timely payment.

World Community Service Travel OpportunityWe have a travel opportunity available through our World Service Committee. Thanks to your contributions to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, we were able to complete an Auto Mechanics Training Global Grant in Piura, Peru.
Mary Jane Calvey is leading the efforts of planning a trip to celebrate the successful implementation of this grant in Peru and invites any Rotary member plus their spouse who may want to travel to the celebration and meet fellow Rotarians from the Miraflores Rotary Club of Piura. Travel dates will be September 20 through September 27, 2025 and a travel agent in country is assisting in lodging and transport accommodations. Should you wish to join, you can even choose to add time in Peru if you want to explore other parts of the beautiful country. For more information, please contact Mary Jane Calvey.
