Dear Friends,
Spring has sprung! This season is full of life, color, and new sounds we may have forgotten in the colder months. Animals are awake again and ready to take on another year. If you listen closely, you can learn a lot from the birds.
Michael Ryan’s short poem “Spring (Again)” illustrates the beauty of the bird family and their effects on we humans:
The birds were louder this morning,
raucous, oblivious, tweeting their teensy bird-brains out.
It scared me, until I remembered it’s Spring.
How do they know it? A stupid question.
Thank you, birdies. I had forgotten how promise feels.
