UCO Fall Commencement Schedule and Graduation Central |
UCO will host fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 13 and 14, in Hamilton Field House. Students that have applied for graduation and have been cleared through the Office of Degree Certification will have access to five guest tickets.
Fall commencement ceremonies times and dates are as follows:

- 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, College of Education and Professional Studies
- 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, Jackson College of Graduate Studies
- 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, College of Business and College of Liberal Arts
- 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, College of Fine Arts and Design and College of Mathematics and Science

Graduation Central will be from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 22, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Oct. 23, in the UCO Barnes & Noble Bookstore, located in the Nigh University Center. Graduation Central is a one-stop-shop for students to purchase regalia, take graduation portraits and visit with university partners about graduation. Regalia will be on sale through the bookstore through Dec. 13 and online through Herff Jones until mid-November.

UCO Football Rises to No. 11, Volleyball Stays in Top 15 |
UCO Football capitalized on their weekend win over Northwest Missouri and moved to No. 11, up from No. 13, in the American Football Coaches Association Top 25. In the D2Football.com Top 25, the Bronchos broke into the top 10, ranking No. 8. The Bronchos are 6-0 on the season and 5-0 in the MIAA. UCO will play Northeastern State at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, on the road for The President’s Cup.
UCO Volleyball dropped two spots in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 to No. 13 in the nation. The Bronchos will head into their next match with an 18-1 record. The team will play their next three matches at home, starting with Fort Hays State at 6 p.m., Oct. 17.

CMS Professor Appointed to International Fibrinogen Research Society Council |
Brittany Bannish, Ph.D., professor of mathematics for UCO’s College of Mathematics and Science (CMS), has been appointed to the International Fibrinogen Research Society (IFRS) council for a five-year term.
This prestigious appointment reflects Bannish’s significant contributions to fibrinogen research and places her among an elite group of scientists dedicated to advancing understanding in this critical area of study.

'An Enchanted Evening with Nancy Day,' Oct. 22 |
The Center at UCO will host singer/songwriter Nancy Day in concert for "An Enchanted Evening with Nancy Day" at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Liberal Arts Auditorium. The concert is free and open to all.

Mental Health First Aid, Oct. 25 |
UCO’s Center for Counseling and Well-Being will offer Mental Health First Aid Training from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25, in the Nigh University Center, Room 202. The training will teach participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. The training is free for UCO students, faculty and staff. Upon completion of the course, participants receive a three-year certification as a trained mental health first aider. Registration is required and can be completed online.
After completing the training and the post-survey, participants will be entered into a drawing for one of five $10 Target gift card. Gift cards will be emailed to the winners.

Little Event Registration Deadline Extended, Oct. 18 |
Registration for Little Event volunteers has been extended on UCORE until 11:59 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18. Little Event is a campuswide day of service hosted by the Big Event organization that focuses on serving local community partners and residents. Little Event will be from 9 a.m.-2p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2.

'Generative AI and the Future of Learning and Work,' Nov. 1 |
The UCO College of Business and the 21st Century Pedagogy Institute will co-host a workshop, "Generative AI and the Future of Learning and Work," featuring Michael Hanegan, founder of Intersections, from 10 a.m.-noon, Friday, Nov. 1. The discussion will focus on future roles of artificial intelligence in education and the workplace.
