Changes are coming to the libraries! This summer will be a busy one as we manage multiple facilities projects in and around the libraries. The result will be some great new spaces for the fall, but please be aware that the following may cause noise and disruption at different times during the summer. |
-
On the first floor of McCabe Library, a suite to house the Teaching & Learning Commons will be under construction starting May 20. The brand new space will include offices for the TLC staff and meeting spaces for TLC events, all centrally located on the first floor of McCabe.
-
The lower level of Cornell Science Library will be partially refurbished to create new study spaces, including a variety of seating and table options, markerboards, and better access to power. It is slated to be ready in time for the fall.
-
In McCabe Library, small study rooms formerly designated as faculty study rooms will be repurposed and improved to become single-person quiet study rooms for students. (The few spaces currently still in use by faculty members will be refurbished and continue to be assigned to those individuals.)
-
Access to Underhill Library may be restricted this summer due to construction near the Lang Music Building. For information on the current status of Underhill, visit the library hours webpage.
