We’d like to inform you about an upcoming Secure Drill scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 30 at 10 a.m. This drill is an important part of our ongoing efforts to keep our campus safe and prepared for any situation.
Purpose of the Drill:
|
-
Primary Objective: To help everyone build muscle memory and confidently respond to different events or situations.
- Secondary Objective: To review our procedures, clarify roles, and identify any areas for improvement in our operations.
|
You will be notified via the RAVE notification system, which delivers alerts through multiple channels including email, voicemail, text, and electronic platforms. All students, faculty, and staff are automatically enrolled with their CC email accounts.
Standard Response Protocol for “Secure”:
|
-
Directive: “Get inside. Lock outside doors.”
- When It’s Used: This action is taken when there is a threat or hazard outside the building.
|
-
Students: Please return indoors and continue with your activities as usual.
- Faculty and Staff: Bring in students, visitors, and colleagues from outside. Lock exterior doors, stay alert, account for everyone in your area, and continue regular activities.
-
Campus Safety: Will electronically lock building doors, provide ongoing updates, and work closely with emergency agencies to address the situation.
|
We appreciate your attention and participation. Please take this drill seriously, as it’s a vital part of keeping our campus community safe and prepared.
