Teacher of the Month - Sept. 2026
In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.
Quinette Bulls was an Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) District Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2026, and currently serves Pre-K through fourth grade students as an OKCPS Extended Educational Services Elementary Education Teacher.
Quinette meets students where they are at, using trauma-informed, relationship-based learning to build confidence and improve academics. She teaches with innovation, connecting lessons with real-world experiences to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
Quinette recognizes the integral role that teachers play in the community and dedicates her time to mentoring fellow teachers and building community relationships. She leads by example, continuing to further her education in the pursuit of continuous growth and commitment to her students.

| 2027-2028 Officers & Directors Nomination Open
Soon, our nominating committee will begin their work to identify individuals to stand for election to serve on our 2027-2028 board under the leadership of Chair David Walters and Vice Chair Marion Paden. Eligible members to stand for election will have been in the club at least 3 years at the time the ballot opens in November. If you would like to nominate an individual or yourself for the committee to consider, you may say submit a nomination form. Nominations are due no later than September 30 for consideration. SignUp for the BookBus!
The Book Buses visit every OKCPS Elementary, Middle and High School each year, providing all students a brand new book of their choice. Volunteers make these special days run smoothly and help put books into the hands of every child who visits.
Volunteer duties may include, but not limited to:
1. Helping students find a book on the bus
2. Stickering and stamping books at the checkout table
3. Scanning books as they leave the bus
4. Handing out bookmarks
5. Reorganizing shelves and counters between classes
6. Help set up/pack up the bus before/after visit
