Dave Wolpe Archive Editions

Introducing
Dave Wolpe
Archive Editions!

More from Florian Ross, Peggy Lee, Dave Pell,

and Our First Delfeayo Marsalis Release

We have been adding a lot more new choices for the developing school year to our catalog: new Dave Wolpe charts, more from Florian Ross, more from Whitewater Music in Canada, more new PDF charts from Hal Leonard and Alfred (including some really appealing ones-please see the PDF updates section below) as well as a bunch of other new Hal Leonard releases, our first from Delfeayo Marsalis/Rich DeRosa, our newest Jazz Lines Publications historic charts from Peggy Lee -Nelson Riddle and Dave Pell - Marty Paich, and lots more. Let's start with Mr. Wolpe.
Dave had a long, distinguished career, and his charts are played all over the world. His series of charts on standards as well as his work with the Glenn Miller Orchestra are areas of serious interest for many, and we are very glad to be working with his estate to begin bringing even more of this fabulous music to all of you. The introduction of Dave Wolpe Archive Editions presents more standards from Dave, some of which had never been previously available, as well as patriotic music he wrote for the Miller band.
Our newest Jazz Lines Publications release is Peggy Lee's What a Little Moonlight Can Do, as arranged by Nelson Riddle. Lee's sultry vocals and Riddle's edgy, yet warm, arranging style were a perfect fit for one another. Thanks to an agreement with Peggy Lee Associates, LLC this publication was prepared from the original set of parts used for the 1958 recording session. Also recent is the latest Dave Pell Octet gem, I've Got a Feeling I'm Falling as written by Marty Paich.
We also just added more of Florian Ross's highly creative and interesting charts to our listings. Merry Christmas Everywhere is a great new holiday option.
Another new chart this month is Inner Urge from Rich DeRosa. This arrangement was commissioned by Delfeayo Marsalis for his Uptown Jazz Orchestra. It was recorded in 2024 for the band's CD, Crescent City Jewels. Branford Marsalis is the featured tenor saxophone soloist.

THIS JUST IN! We have just today added four new arrangements from composer/arranger/trombonist Alan Ferber; please scroll through October New Releases to view them.

More from Whitewater Music Publications

We continue to expand our relationship with Whitewater Music Publications. Run by composer/arranger Taylor Donaldson, they are an independent Canadian publisher, founded in 2017 to supply top-level professional charts for jazz ensembles, as well as a range of educational charts. We proudly partner with them to preserve and promote the rich yet sometimes unsung tradition of jazz composition and arranging in Canada, by making their writers' fantastic music available to larger audiences.
Featuring international star Christine Jensen and her brilliant and unmistakably modern sound, Whitewater also features owner Taylor Donaldson, Joe Sullivan, Greg Runions, and others. We highly recommend browsing their catalog; we do have sound and/or score samples for most of these.
