Has Your Group Resumed Meeting in Person?

Many Al‑Anon groups that were meeting electronically are now welcoming people back to face‑to‑face meetings. If your group is no longer meeting electronically, it is important to remove the temporary electronic meeting information from the group record so that people can find your meeting. Click on the link below to report that the in‑person meeting has resumed, and your group record will be updated accordingly.

A Friend Who Understood

Annie S., wife of Alcoholics Anonymous cofounder Dr. Bob, often greeted distraught wives of early A.A. members with the words, “Come in my dear. You’re with friends now—friends who understand.” Although she died before the official establishment of Al‑Anon Family Groups, Annie helped lay the foundation by practicing the Twelve Steps herself and recognizing their value for family members of alcoholics. Annie is also credited with some of Al‑Anon’s slogans, including “Let Go and Let God.”
