Happy Holidays
As 2024 comes to a close, thank you for your involvement in our programs and communities over the past year, some of which are highlighted here.
From the WISE Pre-Orientation program, to the dedication of our new Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, and Sikh dharmic altars and cabinet, to longstanding programs such as the IRC, VOIS Gospel Choir, and so many weekly gatherings and holidays, we are grateful for sharing the past year with you.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to our team if we can provide needed support in this time.
We wish you many blessings and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.

End-of-Semester Gatherings and Celebrations
Pre-Chanukah Celebration: On Thursday, December 5, the Emory Jewish Chaplaincy was delighted to host our annual Chanukah party at Kaldi’s in the ESC. Students, faculty and staff filled the space, enjoying latkes, jelly doughnuts, and delicious, caffeinated drinks. People caught up, reflected on the semester, and generally enjoyed good company and vibes. We were joined by Jewish Life affiliates from Meor, Hillel, and Chabad. As Chanukah begins later in December this year, it was a moment to look back on the year and look forward to the joy and light of the holiday.
Bodhi Day Celebration: On Thursday, December 5, Emory Buddhist Chaplaincy and Buddhist Club welcomed several teachers from Buddhist communities around Atlanta to commemorate Bodhi Day, which is celebrated in the Mahayana Tradition of Buddhism to commemorate the enlightenment of Shakyamuni Gautama Buddha. Contemplation, gratitude, and a delicious vegetarian dinner were shared by the gathering of students, faculty, staff, guest teachers, and friends.
Christian Life Christmas Party: On Sunday, December 7, the sounds of Christmas carols and the aroma of hot chocolate and s'mores filled the Interfaith Center as Emory's several Christian communities came together for their annual Christmas party. Ornament decorating, good food, and merriment -- along with a special visit by Santa (aka Father John Boll) -- rounded out the evening.
